The Association of Professional Fashion Practitioners of Nigeria (APFPN) is a non-profit organization established by great minds in the fashion industry to propagate ideas/ideals for the growth of the Nigerian fashion industry.

The organization is open to membership from professionals and active individuals in the industry. We welcome members including: students, lecturers, trainers, entrepreneurs, financiers, and other professionals in the industry.

The membership shall be made up of individuals who have an academic degree, or its equivalent in fashion design or with relevant professional experience, in the field of fashion design, Textile Design and Allied Arts, and who have extensive knowledge in fashion design processes, practices, and garment manufacturing techniques, in addition, prospective candidates must also possess a good working knowledge of industrial garment production machines, Textile printing equipment and processes related to the field of fashion design and allied fashion design fields. Candidates could also be evaluated for admission to the institute based on work experience on Design consultation, product evaluation, planning, problem solving and garment supervisory experience with a reputable garment industry

Professional Membership is available to any individual both Nigerian and international. International Members are entitled to all the benefits of membership, except the rights to serve as Officers or Directors or to vote on matters properly placed before the membership. However, International Members may serve as leaders of their respective international Institute of Professional Fashion Design of Nigeria communities or in other unelected volunteer capacities within the institutes as determined by the Board of Directors. International members must be a citizen or resident of a country outside the Nigeria, must hold an undergraduate or advanced degree in Fashion related courses : Design, Textile Design or related design discipline; and/or have appropriate extensive professional work experience with primary responsibility in the design of Apparels, garment manufacturing and production process, Garment Production equipment etc.,
